Whew, I have to get better with posting. But I’m back! I had the pleasure of making candles with my girls this weekend at @simplynestled . This whole spot is a WHOLE VIBE. From the aesthetics, to the top tier customer service and products, I was obsessed. I created my own candle with a mixture of scents and named my candle. The owner Lesley was very knowledgeable about her products and super patient with us during the process. Their products are soy based and non toxic! Also, did I mention it’s BLACK OWNED?! @vegandale 2025! We had a 1st timer with us this year. Ari LOVED the vibes and cried (literally) when it was time to leave. So let’s get into it! I’d give the experience a 7/10 this year:
Pros ⭐️ We got VIP tickets which allowed us to enter at 11am and avoid super long lines
⭐️ Weather was beautiful
⭐️ MANY vendors

Cons ❗️Our VIP tickets allowed us 1 alcoholic beverage, but the bars didn’t open until after 1, and we had already left by then
❗️My fries were overcooked, therefore hard and crunchy (they’re usually a hit, but it was a miss today)
❗️The ice cream in a croc was overpriced for a dollop of ice cream and doughy croc

All in all, we had a great time. Would we go back next year? Absolutely! I do feel like the vendors are starting to be overpriced for “mid” food. I know it’s a festival but jeez! Next year we will bring blankets and chairs so we can be more comfortable and stay longer. Did you go to Vegandale this year? What was your experience? Let’s chat ❤️

We went to @queenrookcafe in Philly for a game night along with some delicious vegan food! Okay I KNOW I’m late to the party, but why didn’t anybody tell me about @publix having vegan subs!? (In fairness, they don’t have a Publix in NJ lol) I love a good sandwich! I would give this a 6/10. I needed a little more ranch and oil/vinegar, plus they did NOT have the bacon that usually goes on it. But overall, it’s yummy and good if you’re in need of food in a pinch! ❤️

This weekend I celebrated my upcoming birthday with a beautiful date night at @southjazzkitchen ! I was recommended to this spot from a friend and they did not disappoint. Their menu is very diverse and offers a plethora of food options, specifically with a soulful twist but OF COURSE I went for the vegan jambalaya. They also offered a mango sorbet (dairy free) for dessert.

This is a great spot for vegans and their plus one. Everybody can eat! 😆They have different jazz musicians and performers throughout the week. Hopefully next time we can take full advantage! ❤️ I will definitely be going back! Have you been here?
